Todd Davison’s dream of making a difference in the lives of young cancer patients can now be supported by community sports teams of all ages!
In the Spring of 2007, Manitoba’s Program of Excellence (POE) Under 17 (U-17) team, became the first team to wear the commemorative “TD 34 Believe” patch on their jerseys at the Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon Territories. As Todd Davison was honorary captain of that team, but unable to see them play for him with his passing in early December of 2006, Team Manitoba decided to dedicate its championship run to the young mentor and assistant coach who had so significantly inspired them all. Drawing on that inspiration, Team Manitoba had its highest finish ever at the Canada Winter Games, capturing the silver medal.

During the 2007/2008 season, The Winnipeg Thrashers Triple AAA midget team officially launched the Believe Patch Program, wearing the “TD 34 Believe” patch proudly throughout their record setting 58-2 season and on to the Canadian championships in Arnprior, Ontario. Formerly the Winnipeg Sharks (Todd Davison’s original 2001/2002 Triple AAA midget team), the Thrashers and their coach, Kevin Benson (also Todd’s former coach) built upon the momentum of Todd’s inspirational “No Regrets” speech to the players the season prior and went on to capture the franchise’s first ever Manitoba Triple AAA Hockey Championship and came within a game of defeating the eventual national champions from Prince Albert.
