JORDIN TOOTOO
I could give you Jordin's bio but most people know it. Here's why I rank Jordin on my list of favourite players. He was simply the biggest bang for my buck in terms of entertainment value in the province of Manitoba since Teemu's rookie year. If you made the 2-hour drive to watch Jordin play for the Wheat Kings in the early 2000's, you got your dollars worth. And then some. It didn't matter if the highway between Winnipeg and Brandon was a white out and you wouldn't end up making it back until 3 in the morning.
It was seriously worth it. You either saw the greatest open ice hit ever, a goal, an assist, or a fight. Most times you got all 4. The Keystone Centre was my favourite place to be in the world when he was there. You want proof with stats? How about 74 points in 51 games in '02/'03... along with 216 penalty minutes.
