Kris King
Wow. Listen, I love Kris King, but I had no idea what his point totals were until I started writing this. They are, um, not the stats of a legend. 850 games played: 66 goals and 151 points. Total. Why then, is Kris King one of my favourite players? Maybe it was the 2000+ penalty minutes. Maybe it was because he was a Winnipeg Jet. I'm not sure, but for some reason Kris King will always be one of my favourites. He just seemed to be the most regular, coolest guy in the world who happened to show up at the rink every night and try as hard as possible even if everyone else on the ice got paid more money, skated faster, and had better hands. He must have done something right. You don't get an 850 game tryout in the NHL. Two more reasons I love Kris King: He seemed to like here in Winnipeg, and I saw him on a fishing show once. I love fishing. Good enough for me.
